A choice of Asphalt Cutters, the model 16 for loader-backhoes or loaders up to 2 1/2 cu.yd., the Model 18 for excavators or loaders of any size and the 1600S for scarifiers.

The frames of the Model 16 & 18 asphalt cutters are designed to fit over or between the teeth ( per dimensions below). The Model 16 & 1600S are designed for an applied down pressure of 20,000 lbs and the Model 18 for 50,000 lbs. The key to production rate is the weight which can be applied to the cutter, therefore , a Model 18 will cut substantially faster on a 4 cu.yd. loader than it will on a 2 cu. yd. loader. Cutting rates up to 30,000 ft/hr have been attained with large loaders in warm weather. Even on smaller loader-backhoes and graders the cutting rate will be better than with pavement breakers and saws.

All models have hardened, abrasion resistant alloy cutting wheels. One asphalt cutter can be used on a variety of machines at several locations. Mounting time is only one or two minutes and no tools are needed.
